My First Dungeon Crawl
Dear Diary,
What can I say? It was most certainly a pleasant adventure. I didn't think it would turn out quite as nice as it did! I met a new friendly face, one Koudelka...I forget her last name. The first is hard enough as it is, ha ha! Nonetheless, she seemed to know quite a bit about dungeon crawling, and I didn't have to refer to my palace-approved pamphlet for tips and pointers. It seemed awfully fishy at first, what with the 'Oh no, I let out a big secret on the Interzone network, oopth!' from Belome. It was worth checking out, though, so off I went. Maya joined up, and we found ourselves giving chase to Death, Belome, and the The Three Dream Stooges.
As I'm somewhat tired, I believe I shall summarize. (Yes, that seems like a good idea.) As I suspected, it WAS a trick. But not the awful kind, thankfully. The Stooges informed me that they just wanted to lay a friend's body to rest, and that's a perfectly honorable and reasonable excuse to be spelunking the ruins of New Maridia. I offered my help, and we agreed to a cease-fire for the occasion. There were all kinds of strange items that we picked up along the way to help us further advance. I was allowed the use of a Hammer Brothers suit, which I enjoyed a great deal. We all worked together, and indeed, we found the body they were looking for. And it turned out that he was alive! Good news indeed! Well...sort of. Iggy Koopa isn't exactly the sort of villain you want rampaging about, but he IS just a kid, and it doesn't seem right for one to die so young.
The Stooges really weren't so bad. Truthfully? They were rather courteous, even fair, moreso than they were expected to be. I like Kou. It's rare that I meet female friends that I actually get along with, but I'd like to count her as one of them. Wicked sense of humor.
And now, I'm going to turn in. I believe Jin is waiting.
Love,
Li
